The cake I got on May 2, 2012 when I was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason.
There was no shortage of funny little “oops” moments that night.  A few of the brothers drew complete blanks at times, giving some short pauses during the work, which must have felt like eons to them.
This oops-factor continued with a complete blank moment of about eight seconds by the Right Worshipful Grand Lodge of California Senior Grand Warden.  He is affiliated with our Lodge among many others and I suppose I made an impression on him with my previous work.  I was honored that he asked to participate in my raising to deliver The Charge.
The fun continued when we got into the reception room after the degree to see the cake decorator had a few difficulties of their own.  Specifically in the area of spelling. Note the exclusion of “r” in congratulations, and the addition of an “e” in Darby.
I would not change a thing. All this only helped to make the night even more memorable.
